A Night at the Opera!

Join fellow members of our bench and bar for an exciting, educational, collegial and fun night at the Detroit Opera!
On the tails of our recent Wade H. McCree Luncheon where Yuval Sharon, Artistic Director for Detroit Opera, served as our Keynote Speaker, those interested can attend the Friday, May 16 performance of The Central Park Five. This 2020 Pulitzer Prize winner is the true story adaptation of the wrongful convictions of five African American and Latino teenagers in the 1989 murder of a white female jogger in New York’s Central Park.
All are welcome to this event. As a group, we are offering a ~20% discount on our ticket prices.
Join us also for a reception complete with hors d’oeuvres and adult beverages coupled with a very exciting speaker (stay tuned for details) who will speak on wrongful convictions (briefly) at the reception.
Prior to registering, please decide upon the following:

“Extremely good”/price level #2 tickets for $109/ticket
“Very good”/price level #3 tickets for $85/ticket
“Good”/price level #4 tickets for $61/ticket
“Decent”/price level #5 tickets for $39/ticket
2) Whether you would like to come to the pre-reception (more granular details forthcoming – but we are shooting for location within walking distance of the Detroit Opera House, and the reception will include camaraderie with bench and bar, appetizers, wine/beverages, and a (brief) speaker. Reception Cost: $37/person.
Tentative timeline:
5:30 p.m. Reception Begins (within walking distance)
5:45 – 6:15 Mingling, food and beverages
6:15 – 6:30 Speaker
6:30 – 6:50 More mingling, food and beverages
6:50 – 7:00 Begin transition / movement to the Opera
7:30 Curtain!
