Eastern District of Michigan Trial Advocacy Program

EDMI TAP is a hands-on, learn-by-doing seminar modeled on proven training methods. The program gives attorneys an intensive opportunity to build core courtroom skills through practical exercises and direct feedback from federal judges and experienced Michigan trial lawyers who volunteer their time.

Designed to maintain a low student-to-instructor ratio, the program allows for meaningful, individualized instruction. it is distinguished by the full participation of the federal bench, with judges dedicating their courtrooms and facilities over three days to the focused mission of teaching and strengthening trial advocacy skills. The program emphasizes foundational trial skills.
